Kodaikanal is a hill station located in Dindigul district of Tamilnadu. It is one of the most important tourist destinations of Tamilnadu, visited by tourists every year especially during summer vacation. There are two ways to reach Kodaikanal, one route is through Palani and another route is through Batlagundu. The Hills protected with thick forest serves as a tourist destination to tourists for many years. Tamilnadu government took necessary steps to maintain all the places in Kodaikanal with proper care and attention. Earlier, the hills were existed just as a forest area and it was a habitat of Palaiyar tribal people but later, the roads were constructed during British colonial rule because British people wanted to stay away from the high temperate climate of our land.
