Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology) was established in 1968 at Chennai and soon it started growing its branches throughout our country. It was an ISO 9001:2015 QMS certified premier National Institution. The main objective of CIPET is to inculcate Skill, Technology Support, Academic & Research (STAR) activities. It is dedicated for the growth of Polymer and allied Industries in the country and cater to the needs of Polymer and allied Industries. It has State- of- the art infrastructural facilities in the areas of Design, CAD/CAM/ CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Plastics Processing, Testing and Quality control. CIPET has achieved 100 % placement record in the past few years by employing qualified students to the Industries.

The campus is very vast in compared to other cipet centres. it is in the hot of the city from where you can get access to everywhere in the city.

The campus has one main academic building,which is four storey building with class rooms,computer lab,seminar hall,video conference hall,placement cell,accounts section and cabins for Professors . All academic activities will happen here.
There is also cafeteria for foods and snacks which can be used by both students and staffs.
Processing and testing (it has library section) units have their individual buildings.
Quality of the education:
You cannot expect spoon feeding as this comes under category of government college.But still,some Professors will put their whole effort for the growth of the students.
Labs will have all the facilities. you have all freedom to learn the working principles and procedures.
The library has maximum number of books purely based on polymers which you cannot find in any general libraries.
Coming to the exam point of view,questions will be very simple and easy to answer if you are attentive in the class.
You will be given full freedom to learn anything regarding technical and there won’t be any restrictions to entry.Prior permission from the respective lab head is needed to enter into the lab.
In the evening time,You can learn designing courses like Pro E,CATIA,SOLID WORKS,MOULD FLOW in the design center of CIPET at subsidized sum of money.
Hostel Facility:
It has separate hostels for boys and girls.
Hostel food quality will be low to moderate but it is manageable.
There is no restriction for boys and girls to use mobile phones inside hostel premises.
Boys do not even have restriction for the entry inside the hostel.Girls should be inside the hostel on or before 7:30 pm
Events:
Freshers Day - in the start of September with cultural programs
Sports Day - in the mid of february.
Cipofest - in the last of march for two days and it is a cultural fest with many non technical and entertainment events.

ReplyDeleteAs a student of CIPET,, I am here to share my experience regarding training program. Teacher were teaching were teaching very well the course is excecellent and perfect. We have a big lab to perform practical activities through which we learn so many things.
We were provided with a big library, which contains many number of useful books related to subject. We have full freedom to learn and make familiar with subjects. The campus has got so many huge building with two entrance points. A nice canteen has been provided with nice hygienic food for both students and teacher.
As a whole i feel myself blessed to be a part of CIPET. I feel so proud to be a student of CIPET. A bright future ahead.

Top recruiting companies here were IOCL, Minda Group and TATA Motors. Almost 100% of the students got internships from our course, and companies whhich offered internships are Uflex Ltd Noida and Jindal Poly Film Ltd. Students of our course get roles like managing the plastic and engineering terms of high plastic.

It has separate hostels for boys and girls.
Hostel food quality will be low to moderate but it is manageable.
There is no restriction for boys and girls to use mobile phones inside hostel premises.
The rooms are big enough to occupy 3 three people easily
The hostel is cleaned every day and maintained properly.

I am sharing my experience about training programs in cipet.The training programs conducted by the campus very useful to us.In the Cipet the training methods was very excellent and super.Equipment in the cipet is totally very huge .The methods they teach us is very easy to understand.The faculty here is very talented and having an excellent teaching experience.

I am here to share my experience regarding training programmes conducted in this campus.
ReplyDeleteIn this campus, training is excellent and perfect. Teachers are teaching very well. They teaching in all the languages which we want.There are more courses in this Institute. They have more technology in moulding. They have all machine for filing.
The library has maximum number of books purely based on polymers which you cannot find in any general library.
We have 2 course fro the students who are coming from 10th standard the course are DPT (deploma in plastic technology) and DPMT ( deploma in plastic mould technology) .

The campus is very vast in compared to other cipet centres. it is in the hot of the city from where you can get access to everywhere in the city.
ReplyDeleteThe campus has two entry main entry and back entry. The back entry provides the way for campus and hostels.
The campus has one main academic building,which is four storey building with class rooms,computer lab,seminar hall,video conference hall,placement cell,accounts section and cabins for Professors . All academic activities will happen here.
There is also cafeteria for foods and snacks which can be used by both students and staffs.
Processing and testing (it has library section) units have their individual buildings.
Quality of the education:
You cannot expect spoon feeding as this comes under category of government college.But still,some Professors will put their whole effort for the growth of the students.
Labs will have all the facilities. you have all freedom to learn the working principles and procedures.
The library has maximum number of books purely based on polymers which you cannot find in any general libraries.
